Muriel Plummer, 90, inspects a dandelion root Tuesday that she harvested in the garden at her farm in Weeks Mills. Since retiring from Hussey’s two years ago, Plummer is staying busy picking produce and cultivating flowers. She likes to steam the roots of dandelions and serve them with biscuits. “I have enough for myself,” she said of her day’s labor.
