SOLON — Allan and Cindy Fitzmaurice of Solon have announced the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Fitzmaurice to Andrew Higgins, son of Mark and Beth Higgins of Skowhegan.

Ashley is a graduate of Carrabec High School. She is employed at Central Maine Family Fun Center in Skowhegan.

Andrew is a graduate of Skowhegan Area High School. He is a construction wireman for IBEW No. 1253, Fairfield.

A Sept. 21, 2013, wedding is planned.
