Maine Department of Conservation employee Patrick Brown lowers a hoist Monday after helping place a ramp in the Kennebec River at the state boat launch in Hallowell. Brown and colleagues Matthew Myshrall and Bill Cunningham placed the ramp and floats for boats that will remain in the river until the end of October.
