CARMEL — Bob and Sue Veilleux of Carmel have announced the engagement of their daughter Emily Veilleux of Bangor to Dillon Welch, also of Bangor, son of Tony Welch of Oakland and Carol Welch of China.

Dillon and Emily are both 2009 graduates of Messalonskee High School.

Dillon received his associate degree in 2011 from Eastern Maine Community College in Applied Science for Machine Tool Technologies and is working at Mid-State Machine in Waterville as a Machinist.

Emily is enrolled at Husson University for her doctorate in Physical Therapy and will graduate in 2015. She is working at Philip Pouzol Physical Therapy as a Physical Therapist Aide in Bangor.

Emily and Dillon have known each other since the second grade and enjoy fishing and hunting.
