CHELSEA — Richard A. Messer Jr. and Dolores J. Messer of Chelsea celebrated their re-marriage April 29, 2012, in Chelsea. The couple are the owners and operators of Best Price Towing and D.T. Towing in Chelsea.
Soon, they will also celebrate Richard’s one-year anniversary. About a year ago, Richard suffered a heart attack resulting in a four-way bypass on May 29, after having a stroke on May 20. Following surgery, he lost his will to live. Thanks to the loving support of his wife Dolores, his sister Grace, son Richard and his wife Kelly of Augusta, son Donny and his wife Joann of Vassalboro, son Charles and his wife Lauren of Vassalboro, their grandchildren and close friends, Dave Blake of Winthrop and Carl Dumont of Augusta, Rick walked out of the V.A. Hospital in Roxbury, Mass. on the road to recovery after 45 days.
We are very blessed to have him with us.
Rick would like to say, “If anyone in your family has a four-way bypass and stroke, stick with them, work with them, and God will do the rest.”
