AUGUSTA — Two city men have been charged in connection with Monday’s robbery at a Capitol Street pharmacy.

Michael Pierce, 32, and Jeffrey Hodgkins, 31, were arrested Tuesday and charged with robbing the CVS on Capitol Street.

The charges followed a search of a home at 21 Glenwood St. by Augusta Police and agents from Maine Drug Enforcement.

The robbery occurred around about 8 p.m. Monday. Augusta Police Sgt. Mathew Clark said a man walked into the store demanding prescription medication. He was given the pills and fled on foot. No injuries were reported.
