VASSALBORO — Residents approved the $1.7 million town budget late Monday night, but the results of the school budget ratification vote won’t be known for at least a few weeks.

LITCHFIELD — A Kansas man wanted for several drug manufacturing and trafficking charges was arrested Monday without incident at a Jimmy Pond Lane camp.

Rep. Les Fossel was leading and Stuart Smith 809-411 Tuesday night in the Republican primary for Senate District 21, according to unofficial results.

Partial results put the Republican primary for House District 50 in a near-tie late Tuesday.

William Guerrette III defeated Ryan Wheaton 351-305 in the Republican nomination for House District 79, according to unofficial results on Tuesday.

WINTHROP — Complete results were not available late Tuesday in the Democratic primary for House District 82, but Craig Hickman appeared headed for a comfortable victory after soundly defeating Kevin Cookson.
