WATERVILLE — Mr. and Mrs. James R. Cote of Waterville celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 9, 2012. They were honored at a celebration hosted by their children.

Mr. Cote and the former Rita Nadeau were married June 9, 1952, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Fairfield.

Mrs. Cote was employed at that time by New England Telephone.

Mr. Cote was employed by the Maine Central Railroad.

The couple have three children, Michael Cote and his wife Linda of Waterville, Patty Jacques and her husband David of Sidney, and Richard Cote and his partner Kathy Nicol of Salt Lake City, Utah. They are the proud grandparents of six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
