The definition of a democracy is “the majority rules.” In my 75 years I have never seen this happen.

Our presidents are elected by voters in key states, the Electoral College and special interests. In 2000, the Republican-controlled Supreme Court put George W. Bush in office.

Before that, his parents’ money and power helped him get through college and high school. He put this country into the trouble we now find ourselves.

If this should ever happen again, we will be like a Third World country.
