MADISON — Kirsten Wood and Erika Parker both scored in the first half as the Madison girls soccer team beat Winthrop 2-0 in a Mountain Valley Conference game Monday.

Kayla Bess added an assist for Madison (1-1-0).

Danielle Pease had 20 saves for Winthrop (0-1-1).

Mt. Abram 1, Lisbon 0, 2OT: Ivy Mitman scored with 7:39 left in the second half as the Roadrunners earned a Mountain Valley Conference tie with the Greyhounds in Salem.

Jenni Rowland had an assist on the goal for Mt. Abram (0-0-1).

Kayla Angelico scored from Gabby Ouellette earlier in the second half for Lisbon (0-0-1.

Allison Lopez had four saves for Mt. Abram and Courtney Martell had three for Lisbon.
