A NICE CAST: Pat Merrill of Lewiston fishes for smallmouth bass on the Kennebec River in Augusta at the East Side Boat Landing Park on Friday. Moments earlier Merrill said he caught a nice 14-inch small bass. “The fish are starting to bite again. The water is starting to cool down a bit,” said Merrill.
