VASSALBORO — Scott and Carol Minoty of Vassalboro have announced the engagement of their daughter, Tara Minoty to Nicholas Curtis, son of Lance and Marion Curtis of Fayette.

Tara is a graduate of Erskine Academy and Central Maine Community College, where she earned an Architectural and Civil Engineering Associate Degree. She is employed at Alternative Manufacturing Inc. in Winthrop.

Nicholas is a graduate of Maranacook Community High School. He is employed at Alcom in Winslow.

An Oct. 31, 2012, wedding is planned at Oak Grove Chapel in Vassalboro.
