ORONO — Zoe Adkins and Annabelle Hamilton each scored their second goal of the season as the University of Maine field hockey team took a 2-1 win over Bryant University on Sunday.

The win was Maine’s second in a row and improved the Black Bears to 3-4. Bryant is now 1-5. Hamilton’s goal on a penalty stroke gave Maine a 1-0 lead. Kayleigh Ballantyne scored for Bryant to tie the game.

Just over six minutes later, Maine reclaimed the lead on a penalty corner, when Adkins gathered the ball and beat Bryant goalkeeper Megan Hancock to put Maine back on top. Alicia Frisch made six saves for the Black Bears. Hancock, of Skowhegan, made 11 stops for Bryant.

Endicott 5, UMF 1: Hannah Thornberg of Oakland scored twice, including the eventual game-winning goal, helping Endicott take a win over UMF in Beverly, Mass. Four different players scored for Endicott (2-1), which outshot the Beavers 15-4. Lily Berry scored for UMF (0-1).

Women’s soccer

Lesley 3, UMF 0: Lesley scored three goals in the second half to win in Cambridge, Mass. Hayley Wirth, Alexis Giusti and Kate Ryder each scored for Lesley (5-0). Emileigh Lloyd made two saves for the win. Beth Lebel had eight saves for UMF (1-1).

Men’s soccer

Lesley 4, UMF 3, OT: Darius Koep scored in the 98th minute, lifting Lesley (1-1-2) to the overtime win in Cambridge, Mass.

Lesley took a 2-0 lead on goals by Nick Mattox and Ari Sinnanis, but a goal by Luiz Ristow and a pair of Jake Constantine goals gave the Beavers (1-1) a 3-2 lead in the second half. Jordan Santos scored for Lesley to tie the game in the 60th minute. Chris Roberts had six saves for UMF.

Also Sunday: Brittany Ford of Augusta scored two goals for the Stonehill field hockey team in a 7-6 loss to ninth-ranked East Stroudsburg… Waterville’s Alex McAuliff and Elizabeth Bogo won at third doubles for Colby, 7-5, in a match with Colby-Sawyer… Molly Morrill  of Litchfield picked up a win for the USM women’s tennis team in a match with Lyndon State.
