We trust our legislators to make decisions with our best interests in mind, so we need people in government who embody the American values we all believe in, regardless of party affiliation.

Doreen Sheive, a Democrat running to represent Augusta from House District 56, is this type of person.

When Sheive was growing up in central Maine, her mother taught her to be honest, hardworking and productive. Sheive believes in responsibility and collaboration, and she will use these values to make progress in our state government.

Sheive’s priorities are a strong economy built upon good jobs, a strong school system that invests in early childhood education and environmental responsibility to protect the outdoor recreation that makes Maine famous.

Sheive has the experience and values to make a great member of our state Legislature. I hope others will join me in supporting her at the polls this November.
