GARDINER — Gardiner Main Street has announced the schedule of activities for its third annual Barks in the Park event set for Sept. 15 at the Waterfront Park.

* Activities begin at 10 a.m. with vendors offering pet products and services.

* Ambassador Assistance Animals International demonstration at 10:15 a.m.

* Group dog walk through the downtown — costumes optional — at 10:30 a.m.

* State Police K9 demonstration at 11 a.m.

* Contests for best costume, best trick, best dog kiss and look alike, at 11:30 a.m.

* Dance with Your Dog at noon.

* Agility Fun with Your Dog at 12:30 p.m. Eastern Maine Agility will give a demonstration on using agility equipment.

* PetSmart demonstration of how to train a dog to do tricks at 1 p.m.

There is no cost and all are welcome. Donations will be accepted for the development of a new dog park in Gardiner.
