WATERVILLE — Megan Fortier scored a goal with 9 minutes, 32 seconds remaining to lift Colby College past the University of Maine at Farmington 2-1 in non-conference field hockey action Sunday.
All three goals in the game were scored off penalty corners. Caitlin Murray also scored for Colby (1-2) while Chelsea Morley for the Beavers (1-3).
Michelle Burt and Sarah Evans shared time in goal and did not have to make a save. UMF keeper Curran Brierley stopped 11 shots.
Maine 3, Pacific 2 OT: Cassidy Svetek scored 14:41 into overtime to lift the No. 23 Black Bears to their fourth-straight win, in Durham, N.H.
Hannah Keating and Zoe Berkey also scored for Maine (5-4). Sydney Kolysher made six saves.
Jenna Vivian and Dinah Compton had goals for Pacific (3-5). Maggie Corder stopped 17 shots.
Women’s soccer
Maine 2, Rhode Island 1: Camille Varin-Tremblay and Eve L’Abbe each scored a goal to lift the Black Bears to the win in Kingston, R.I.
Lauren Swant made three saves for Maine (4-3-1).
Ashley Evangelista scored for Rhode Island (6-3-1). Reilly Lindsey stopped one shot.
UMF 3, Maine Maritime 1: Erskine graduate Meryl Bond, Shelby Bryant and Alida Peake each scored a goal to lift the Beavers to the North Atlantic Conference win in Castine.
Beth Lebel did not have to make a save for UMF (3-1, 1-0).
Annie Koensgen scored off an assist from Dani Holt for the Mariners (2-4, 0-1). Taylor O’Malley made five saves while Monmouth graduate Kelsie Hilton made 11 saves for MMA.
Men’s soccer
Maine Maritime 3, UMF 1: Nicholas George scored twice and added an assist to lead the Mariners to the NAC win in Castine.
Kyle Haslam also scored for MMA (3-2, 1-0). William Trace Lacour made two saves.
Dahir Muktar scored off an assist from Jordan Luks for the Beavers (1-4, 0-1). Paul Dupre made seven saves.
High school girls field hockey
Mt. View 4, Morse 0: Andrea Smith, Brittany Masesssa, Braley Leadbetter and Kyrstyn Keating each scored a goal for the Mustangs in a KVAC B win Saturday.
Abbie Charrier made one save for Mt. View (5-2-0).
Bryannia Ringrose made 21 saves for Morse (0-6-0).
