TURNER —  Sadie Royer scored about midway through the first half to lead the Leavitt field hockey team to a 1-0 win Monday.

Emma Martineau had the assist as Leavitt improved to 9-1-0.

Waterville dropped to 5-4-0.

Bangor 8.5, Lawrence 0.5: Lawrence lost its Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference playoff match to unbeaten Bangor at Bangor Municipal Golf Course.

The Rams outscored the Bulldogs in team competition, 152-179.

Medalist Thomas Murray shot 35. Nick Noiles gained a half point for Lawrence by halving his match with Alice Hwang.

Bangor (11-0) advances to Wednesday’s KVAC championship against Cony and the winner of the Oxford Hills-Brunswick match. Lawrence is 8-3.
