FAIRFIELD — Pamela and Dennis Baker of Fairfield are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Julie A. Baker, of Oakland to Scott W. Knoedler, of Oakland, son of Carolyn and William Knoedler of Saginaw, Mich.

Julie is a graduate of Waterville High School, Capella’s Cosmetology School, and is childcare certified. She works as a personal care assistant for Elderly Care in Fairfield.

Scott is a graduate of Bridgeport High School, Saginaw, Mich. and completed a four-year journeymanship at Bay City Western. He works as a machinist at Mid-State Machine of Winslow.

A 2013 summer wedding is planned.
