SKOWHEGAN — Lawrence rebounded from its first loss of the season with a balanced scoring attack and stout defense to take a 67-33 victory over Skowhegan in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A boys basketball action Friday night.
Jason Bushman led Lawrence (4-1) with 14 points, while Brad King had 13 and Spencer Carey added 12. At halftime, the Bulldogs had built a 28-10 lead and already had 14 steals.
Eli Holland led Skowhegan (1-4) with 12 points. Isaac Witham pitched in with nine points.
MCI 54, Nokomis 48: Jerry Chen had 15 points as the Huskies beat the Warriors in a KVAC B game in Newport.
Mitchell Hallee added 12 points for MCI (1-4).
Spencer Hartsgrove had 17 points and Chandler Foss 10 for Nokomis (3-2).
Belfast 60, Mt. View 46: Ryan Rice and Kaleb Benjamin each scored 12 points to lead the Lions past the Mustangs in Belfast.
Levi Lapham added 10 points for Belfast (3-2), which led 31-21 at halftime.
Steven Davis scored 13 points and Brody Gibbs chipped in with 12 for Mt. View (1-4).
