You published a letter from Daniel Murray (Dec. 16) asking that you print an article about law enforcement officers being attacked by the mentally ill.
I’m guessing he is probably the retired game warden, and not the current Gardiner police officer.
I think the articles aren’t really about which of the hostile hillbillies shot first: law enforcement or their victims, but how much happier the citizens of this state would be if the police would shoot off their guns less often and if Gov. Paul LePage would shoot off his mouth less often.
