Trinity Sunday observed, music director honored
WATERVILLE — St. Mark’s Episcopal Church will celebrate Trinity Sunday on Sunday with a special service of Evensong. The service of choral music will start at 5 p.m. and will be celebrated by the former rector of St. Mark’s, the Rev. C. Perrin Radley. A festive reception will follow to pay tribute to the ministry of Mary Rector who is retiring after 22 years as the music director. The public is welcome to attend.
Colby announces reunion events
WATERVILLE — More than 1,400 visitors will make their way to Colby for reunions this weekend. A number of today’s reunion events are open to the public, including talks by Cecily von Ziegesar ’92, author of the “Gossip Girl” series, Chris Arnold ’92, NPR national correspondent, and Kent Wommack ’77, The Nature Conservancy’s managing director of global land conservation.
Associate degree offeredin autism studies program
FAIRFIELD — Kennebec Valley Community College will launch a two-year Autism Spectrum Disorder Studies degree program in the fall of 2012 in response to a rapid rise nationally in autism diagnosis among children.
