I recently received a letter from the state of Maine requesting a driver medical evaluation. I am diabetic and have heart disease, so someone realized that I could be dangerous on the road.

Recent events in the news relating to unstable people killing innocent people drew me to a similar conclusion. A mental evaluation should be required to own a assault rifle or any large-clip firearm.

Automobiles and guns don’t kill people, after all, people kill people. Sadly, we are the most intelligent creatures on earth and one of the few species that kills its own kind.

Should we just lock our doors and keep our guns loaded?
