Waterville can spend money plowing the “disaster areas” such as The Concourse and also find money for all our “recreational areas,” but plans to make cuts to Meals on Wheels program (Feb. 7).

So-called “improvements” that have kept our Public Works Department busy include Quarry Road Ski Area Project, Head of Falls and all our free parking areas that no one uses, such as The Concourse. What a nightmare it must be for those plows to navigate all those hidden obstacles.

My point is, how are cuts to Meals on Wheels going to help the taxpayers while we throw away our money on the so-called improvements?

Where are our priorities?
