CHELSEA — Residents will have their first chance to comment on the town’s proposed charter Monday night before the charter commission revises it for a June vote at the annual Town Meeting.

EAST MADISON — A 42-year-old Madison man died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound Friday night, after reportedly barricading himself inside a building on East Madison Road.

The vaudeville and variety show at Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center 280 Water St., Gardiner, honoring Denise Reehl, has been postponed until 4 p.m. on Sunday, according to Patrick Wright, a Johnson Hall board member.

Saturday’s event drew 157 snowmobiles, which raised close to $7,000 for cystic fibrosis research.
