PITTSFIELD — The Pittsfield Food Policy council has partnered with the Mid-Maine Community Forum to host the first in a series of panel discussions focused on understanding production, distribution, markets and health of the food systems at work.

WORCESTER, Mass. — The following local residents were named to the 2012 fall semester dean’s list at Worcester Polytechnic Institute:

NORRIDGEWOCK — The annual town meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Mill Stream Elementary School. Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

OAKLAND — The Oakland Alumni Association welcomes applications from graduating seniors for the annual Oakland Alumni Educational Award valued at $500.

MADISON — A Zumbathon is planned for Sunday, March 24, at Madison Area Memorial High School, on Main Street. The fundraiser will benefit American Cancer Society. Registration starts at noon, Zumba is set for 1-4 p.m.

ROME — The Belgrade Regional Conservation Alliance Go Outdoors event for the Animal Track Walk will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, on Dolley Property. Participants should meet at the Kennebec Highlands Round Top Trailhead parking area at the corner of Watson Pond Road and Wildflower Estates.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Isreal Moreno, of Waterville, was named to the 2012 fall semester dean’s list, high honors, at Roberts Wesleyan College.

WATERVILLE — The Battle of the Badges basketball game is set for 7 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at the Alfond Youth Center.
