LEWISTON — Amy Jones hit a two-run homer to tie the score in the top of the seventh, then walked to drive in what proved to be the winning run in the eighth as the University of Maine at Farmington defeated Bates, 8-5, to salvage a split in a college softball doubleheader Monday afternoon.
