Recycling center proceeds up for grabs
WHITEFIELD — The Whitefield Recycling Committee seeks an organization to maintain the collection barrel area and collect, on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, containers of cans and bottles that have accumulated at the center on Townhouse Road. The returnables can be redeemed at any redemption center and the organization is entitled to keep the proceeds, which traditionally have been in the $800-$1,000 range over a year’s time, according to a news release.
