On April 28, our family’s horse broke free of his fence.
He ran up and down Route 3 for about an hour and a half.
I would like to thank all the people who stopped to help, all strangers working together to protect a very scared animal.
We are grateful the horse and no people were hurt.
We were blessed that a “horse whisper” — another complete stranger — came to his rescue and calmed him.
The Augusta Police Department was awesome trying to keep everyone safe.
I also appreciate the people who had to patiently wait in traffic on a warm, beautiful afternoon.
The horse is safely in his stall tonight, because strangers cared. Thank you.
