FARMINGTON — Beginning Monday, drivers should expect traffic delays road work near the U.S. Route 2 and Route 4 intersection. Paving will take place beginning from May 6 and is expected to be finished early June, according to a news release from the Maine Department of Transportation.

Road travel near the intersection will be reduced to a single lane of alternating directions of traffic.

Project locations are:

* Bridge Street, from the intersection of Oakes and Winter streets extending east 0.18 miles to U.S. 2 and Route 4;

* Oakes Street, beginning at the intersection of Winter Street, Temple Road and Bridge Street extending south 0.23 miles to U.S. 2 and Route 4;

* Winter Street, beginning 0.15 miles north of Marvel Street extending south 0.3 miles to the intersection of Oakes Street, Temple Road and Bridge Street.
