MADISON — The members of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Unit 39, will distribute poppies at various businesses in Madison throughout the month.

The poppies are replicas of the poppies that bloomed on the battlefields of France and were handmade here in Maine by disabled veterans.

This memorial poppy is not only a personal tribute to those who gave their lives for our country, but it honors our living veterans.

All donations are used exclusively for rehabilitation of veterans and assistance to their families, locally and at Togus.
