FAIRFIELD — Sierra Jackson struck out nine and pitched a complete game to lead the Lawrnece to a 13-0 win against Brunsiwck in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A softball game called after five innings due to the mercy rule.
Paige Belanger had two hits, including a triple, to lead Lawrence (3-6). Alli Dyer and Sydney Knowlton also had two hits for Lawrence.
Brunswick dropped to 0-9.
Baseball
Valley 16, Greenville 10: Dylan Belanger singled, tripled and drove in four runs to lead the Cavaliers tothe East/West Conference win in Greenville. Cody Lawyerson and Justin Miller each had a pairof hits and two RBIs for Valley (5-0) while Henry Hersey le Greenville (2-4) with three singles.
Boys lacrosse
Mt. Ararat 8, Messalonskee 4: Jeremy Williams and Nick Dow scored three goals to lead Mt. Ararat to the Eastern A victory in Oakland.
Will Hirnak scored two goals and Dow added a pair of assists for Mt. Ararat (4-3) as well.
Ben Weeks led Messalonskee with two goals. Jordan Holmes, Aidan Calkins, Ryan Erskine and Devin Campbell also scored for Messalonskee (4-3).
