SOUTH CHINA — Avery Bond plated Taylor Boucher from third on an RBI single to center in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Erskine softball team past Lawrence 3-2 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Tuesday afternoon.
Bond led Erskine (8-8) with two hits. Alyssa Gartley earned the win, striking out five batters.
Sara Martin struck out six batters for Lawrence (7-9).
Greenville 16, Forest Hills 1: Claudia Winckler smacked an RBI single for the Tigers in a losing effort against the Lakers in Jackman, a game that ended after five innings due to the mercy rule.
Molly Foley and Lindsay Fenn each had doubles for Greenville (12-2).
Forest Hills falls to 6-8 on the season.
MCI 3, Medomak 2: Victoria Drake had two singles and Courtney Fowler doubled to lead the Huskies in Pittsfield.
Fowler pitched a complete game to lead the Huskies (9-6).
Abby Maguire, Heidi Obuchon and Taylor Simmons all led Medomak (10-5) with a pair of hits.
Hall-Dale 5, Mt. Abram 0: Olivia Maynard struck out nine and allowed just three hits to lead the Bulldogs to the MVC win in Farmingdale.
Becca Ackerson had a double and a single to lead Hall-Dale (10-6) as well.
Allie Lopez had two hits to lead the Roadrunners (5-11).
Oceanside 5, Winslow 0: Raechel Frye pitched a three-hit shutout and Molly Mellor had a double and an RBI to lead Oceanside in Thomaston.
Brooke Dugan and Kennadi Grover also doubled for Oceanside (15-1).
Liz Pullen had two singles for Winslow (10-6).
Skowhegan 21, Oxford Hills 9: Shelby Obert had three singles and a double to lead a balanced offensive attack as the Indians cruised to the KVAC A victory in Skowhegan.
Taylor Johnson, Andrea Quirion and Kaitlyn Therriault each had two singles and a double for Skowhegan (11-5).
Crystal West had a triple and a single to lead Oxford Hills (11-5).
Messalonskee 15, Lewiston 0, 5 innings: Phoebe Pelletier had two hits, including a double, and Kylee Knight had three singles to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A victory in Oakland.
Jordan Roy pitched four innings, striking out six, to earn the victory for Messalonskee (12-4).
Nikki Collier and Emily York also doubled.
Lewiston dropped to 2-14.
Girls lacrosse
Messalonskee 18, Morse 9: Allison Fischang and Kristy Bernatchez each scored four goals to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Oakland. Sydney Gagne and Kristen Kern each scored three goals for Messalonskee (12-0) while Mikayla Turner added a pair.
Sadia Crosby scored three goals to lead Morse (7-5).
