Hills-to-Sea Trail June 1 opening set
UNITY — Waldo County Trails Coalition’s official opening of its downtown Unity-to-MOFGA trail is June 1 — National Trails Day. The opening and hike will begin at 10 a.m. at the wooden bridge on Main Street, across from the health center, according to a news release.

Children not adversely affected by working moms
I agree that each of us can and should be able to share his/her opinions publicly, but, in my opinion, the May 19 letter, “Women with underage kids should stay home,” goes too far.
