Ronald Harvey, a conservator with Tuckerbrook Conservation, touches up a bird display at L.C. Bates Museum at Good Will-Hinckley on Wednesday.

Harvey is a bird conservator, which entails cleaning and color touchup on bird artifacts, in addition to testing for hazardous materials used in the taxidermy process.

The bird conservator project was made possible be a federal grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services in Washington D.C.
