SOUTH PORTLAND — State police and local ambulance crews are on the scene of a five-car pileup that was reported in the southbound lane of Interstate 295 in South Portland.

The crash was reported around 8:15 p.m., near Exits 2 and 3, and there were unofficial reports of at least two injuries.
