CARRABASSETT VALLEY — The following Fourth of July events are planned at Town Park:

* Food booth opens at noon, sponsored by New Portland Fire Department.

* Set up for children’s parade at 12:15 p.m. at Tufulios Parking Lot.

* Town pool opens at 12:30 p.m.; weather permitting.

* Children’s parade begins at 12:30 p.m.; proceed to the town park.

* Music by Kathy’s Karaoke, 1-5 p.m.

* Roving Magic by the Great Stefan,

1:30 p.m.

* Children’s arts and crafts projects, 2:30-3:30 p.m.

* Surprises in the sawdust pile, 2:30 p.m.

* Firetruck rides with the Fire Chief and staff, 3-5 p.m.

* Music by Sharon Buck and the Dixon Road Band, 5:30 -9 p.m.

Fireworks by Central Maine Pyrotechnics, 9 p.m. or dark.

Bring a chair, towel, swimsuit, tennis rackets and sunscreen.
