AUGUSTA — Viles Arboretum, 153 Hospital St., has a limited quantity of American chestnut seedlings for sale.

The American chestnut is a fast growing tree and the most productive tree species here in Maine when it comes to seed set, according to a news release from the arboretum.

The arboretum has one of the largest collections of Maine-sourced chestnut trees. The arboretum is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. For more information, call 626-7989 or visit www.vilesarboretum.org.
