Christmas in July Family Festival Saturday

WATERVILLE — The Maine Children’s Home for Little Wanderers will host its inaugural Christmas in July Family Carnival set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the organizations 93 Silver St. campus. The family-friendly carnival is a fundraiser to help raise awareness and money for the agency’s year-round Christmas Program.

Spay-neuter clinics set for July 20

WATERVILLE — Community Spay-Neuter Clinic will hold Saturday summer spay-neuter clinics starting July 20 held next to Pet Quarters. These clinics are made possible by Maine Community Foundation and Sewall Foundation grants.

Storytelling festival planned July 19-20

FARMINGTON — The third annual Western Maine Storytelling Festival will be July 19-21. The evening storytellers July 19-20 will be Abenaki storyteller and writer Bruchac and his son, Jesse Bruchac, and Susan Poulin, creator of Ida LeClair. On the evening of July 19, the Bruchacs will present the family show, “Learning from Our Monsters,” a group of scary, but educational, stories from Wabanaki and Haudenosaunee traditions, according to a news release.
