ROCKLAND — A South Thomaston man has been sentenced to 21 months in jail for robbing a Rockland pharmacy last year.

In a plea agreement with prosecutors, 29-year-old Michael Willis pleaded guilty and was sentenced Monday. The remainder of his seven-year jail sentence was suspended.

His lawyer, Erick Morse, tells WABI-TV that his client apologized in court and said he was driven by his addiction to drugs.

Willis robbed Jensen’s Pharmacy of prescription painkiller pills in July 2012.
