PORTLAND — Portland police said an evening rush-hour crash that involved a South Portland transit bus prompted police to reduce inbound traffic to one lane on the Casco Bay Bridge on Monday night.

Lt. Gary Hutcheson said slick roads may have caused the bus and seven cars to collide. No injuries were reported, but the vehicles were damaged and several were towed from the scene, Hutcheson said.

The crash was reported at 5:37 p.m.

Hutcheson said all inbound lanes would re-open around 6:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter.
