Free parenting classes offered

Two six-session video and discussion programs for parents and care providers of children ages 5-12 are planned. This program is designed to help raise responsible children by using effective discipline techniques and encouragement skills. Classes are set for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 26, March 5, 12, 19, 26 and April 2, at Winslow Elementary School, 285 Benton Ave., in Winslow, and from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 and April 7, at North Elementary School 33 Jewett St., in Skowhegan.
