WATERVILLE — Virginia Sturies and Sylvia Palmer of Waterville, have announced the engagement of their daughter and granddaughter, Anja Sturies of San Antonio, Texas, to Paul Parlin, also of San Antonio, son of Larry and Doris Parlin, of Sidney.

Sturies is a 2007 graduate from Waterville High School and a 2011 graduate from the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vt., where she received a bachelor of arts degree. She is currently employed by Bed Bath and Beyond as a bridal consultant in San Antonio.

Parlin is a 2006 graduate from Oak Hills High School and a student at the University of Maine at Orono. Parlin is currently serving and training in San Antonio, Texas, as a radiology technologist and corpsman with the Navy.

A summer 2015 wedding is planned.
