In June 1 Morning Sentinel, you had two articles on the same page, the proximity of which might or might not have been deliberate. One was about the pay-as-you-throw trash bag proposal; the second was about the illegal dumping in Maine.

If you think the illegal dumping is bad now, wait until the pay-per-bag goes into effect. Extra people will have to be hired to clean up the roadsides.

On another topic: Just once I’d like see a clean election, in which a candidate spends time telling me what he or she plans on doing, not what the opposition can’t do or hasn’t done in the past.
