Erskine Academy announces Renaissance Awards

SOUTH CHINA — Erskine Academy students and staff recently attended a Renaissance Assembly to honor their peers with Renaissance Awards. Recognition Awards were presented to the following students: Alainie Sawtelle, Angelo Sacks, Tyler Bailey, Josh Hofmeister, Cassandra Stone, Belinda Green, Kathryn Fraser, Shania Reed, Rebekah Bois, Emma Anderson, Jeff Pass, Mattie Lajoie and Trevor Patterson.

In addition to Recognition Awards, Senior of the Trimester Awards were also presented to six seniors, they are: Ryan Hamel, son of Stacy Hamel, of Palermo, and Erica Hamel, of China; Elena Luo, daughter of John and Emily Foss, of Palermo; Franklin Markle, son of Thomas and Debra Markle, of Windsor; Jade Canak, daughter of Chris and Tracy Canak, of China; Gage Currie, son of Richard and Erica Currie, of China; and Erik Dodge, son of Jen and Bryan Lindsey, of Chelsea. Seniors of the Trimester are recognized as individuals who have gone above and beyond in all aspects of their high school careers.

In appreciation of their dedication and service to Erskine Academy, four Faculty of the Trimester awards were also presented to Patrick Vigue, bus driver; Naomi Homan, librarian; John Clark, assistant headmaster; and Susan LaGasse, director of guidance.
