BIDDEFORD — Sarah Rae DeRaps recently graduated valedictorian from the University of New England with her doctorate of pharmacy. Commencement exercises were held at the Cumberland County Civic Center. She recently accepted a position with Apothecary by Design in Portland.

DeRaps is the daughter of Nancy Vacco of Virginia and Michael DeRaps, of Waterville.
