Some time ago I received in the mail a flier from the new hospital with the word, “TRUST’ in big letters on the front.
The hospital was built away from the population center, to the detriment of anyone wanting to use its services. This includes everyone, but it’s especially troublesome to the elderly and the poor.
So much money was spent on frippery when it was built that did not have enough beds for patients — they had to be stashed in non-patient areas. The lobby alone must have cost many millions of dollars; money better spent on patient services.
The hospital has been classified as one of the two worst in the state for patient care.
Trust? I don’t think so. I see where several doctors already quit that hospital and moved their services to Togus. Being a veteran, I’ll have to see what I can do to be an outpatient there.
