Credit union donates to local charities
GARDINER — Gardiner Federal Credit Union staff recently presented $13,456.83 to nine area food pantries and organizations who provide meals to community members in need, according to a news release from GFCU.
Donations were made to the Bread of Life, Gardiner Boys & Girls Club, Faith Food Pantry, Spectrum Generations, Chrysalis Place, South Gardiner Baptist Church Food Pantry, Janice’s Community Food Pantry, Food for Thought Back Pack Program and the Hallowell Food Bank.
The credit union is currently selling 50/50 raffle tickets to benefit its Ending Hunger Campaign. The drawing will be held Dec. 12.
