GARDINER — Brandon Douglas scored 12 points and Seth McFarland finished with 11 points, six rebounds and four steals as the Gardiner boys basketball team cruised past Nokomis 72-30 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Wednesday night.
Jordan Lamb also scored 12 points to go along with nine rebounds for the Tigers (2-0).
Brian Dunn had four points, eight rebounds, four assists and seven steals.
Josh Smestad scored seven points to pace Nokomis (0-2).
KENTS HILL 42, HEBRON 37: Trevor Guity scored a tea,-high 13 points and Luke Arsenault chipped in with 11 to lead the Huskies (2-0), who led 18-15 at the half.
Jeff Adegbe scored 13 points Damaralee Smith added eight to lead the Lumberjacks (1-1).
MONMOUTH 68, CARRABEC 36: Kasey Smith scored 19 points to lead the Mustangs to the MVC win in North Anson.
Luke Thombs added 16 points for Monmouth (2-1). Dustin Crawford scored 20 points for Carrabec (0-3).
MCI 61, MARANACOOK 54: Todor Imsir scored 27 points and Gunnar Lovely added 11 as MCI cruised past Maranacook. Cam Brochu scored a game-high 28 points to lead the Black Bears (0-2).
GIRLS BASKETBALL
LEAVITT 38, WATERVILLE 23: Liz Goulette scored a game-high 13 points and Chantel Eells added 10 to lead the Hornets in Turner.
Alex Bellaire scored seven points for Leavitt (1-1) as well.
Fotini Shanos turned in a big game for Waterville, grabbing 22 rebounds to go along with seven points. Jordan Jabar scored a team-high nine points for the Purple Panthers (0-2).
MARANACOOK 50, MCI 36: Christine Miller scored 14 points and Liz D’Angelo added 11 to pace the Black Bears. Catherine Sanborn chipped in with 12 points as well.
