SOUTH CHINA — Isaiah and Eli Calder combined for 27 points to pace the Leavitt boys basketball team to a 48-43 win over Erskine on Friday night
Gabe Sealey joined the duo in double figures with 10 points for the Hornets (4-5).
Matt Clary and Trevor Browne paced the Eagles (0-9) with 13 points each.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
LEAVITT 43, ERSKINE 25: Katie Gamage had four points and six rebounds for the Eagles in a loss to the Hornets in Turner.
Malorie Weaver added six points for Erskine (1-7).
Elizabeth Goulette scored 12 points and had nine steals for Leavitt (3-6).
MEN’S HOCKEY
NORWICH 3, COLBY 0: The second-ranked Cadets (10-0-1) struck twice in the third period to break open a tight game with the Mules (6-3-2) on the opening day of the Northfield Bank Tournament in Northfield, Vt.
William Pelletier paced Norwich with a goal and an assist. Sam Parker made 19 saves in goal for Colby.
