TOPSHAM — A 21-point, 13-rebound performance from Sophie Holmes helped lead the Messalonskee girls basketball team to 47-34 victory over Mt. Ararat in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A action Monday.

McKenna Brodeur added nine points and 12 rebounds for Messalonskee (6-4), while Halee Flewelling chipped in with nine points and three steals.

Lauren Sturgess and Kate Guerin paced Mt. Ararat (4-5) with eight points each.
